Fine Gael Clare Senator, Martin Conway, has today welcomed the funding that the Arts Council is providing to over 40 festivals scheduled to take place all over Ireland this summer and early autumn.
“I am delighted that substantial support is going to a range of popular festivals in Clare including;
• €5,500 for the Feakle International Traditional Music Festival (7 - 12 Aug)
• €6,000 for the Summer Music on The Shannon (15 July - 10 Aug)
• €3,000 for the Ennis Street Festival (5 - 7 July)
• €3,000 for Crotty Galvin Traditional Music Festival Weekend (6 - 8 Sept)
“The funding was made available to these festivals under yearly grants and is a welcome boost for the extensive range of festivals and events taking place in Clare over the summer season.”
